Over the past two weeks, a number of Year 9 Physical Education classes have had the opportunity to take part in a training session run by coaches and players from the Geelong Supercats. This session was used to reinforce the skills and knowledge taught in our Basketball unit in which students were required to not only participate in a basketball competition, but also umpire and score the games. This opportunity allowed the Year 9 students to develop their skills and observe the highly talented coaches and players, as they demonstrated a slam-dunk and dribbling skills that were almost too quick and precise to comprehend. It is safe to say that the students were not disappointed with the experience and it was great to see them all looking up to these players in awe. We look forward to continuing this relationship with the Supercats in the future.
