Persistence finally paid off for our keen group of Year 9 Connections - Fish for the Future students with a day of fine weather coinciding with a recent field trip to Portarlington. Making the most of sun-filled skies and light winds, the students promptly put together a catch and release bag of twenty plus Australian salmon. Baits of peeled prawn and pipi presented on single dropper paternoster rigs and small hooks accounted for much of the action on the run-in tide. Throughout the term, all Year 9 students are required to maintain a reflective Visual Diary in preparation for the Round Table Assessment process. Photographs from each of our field trips are available on Google Drive.
