Art enables students to immerse themselves in a creative journey where they develop their skills artistically and expressively. Students get to build their artistic techniques in various forms of art including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and photography.
They engage in experimentation and the development of their personal style and aesthetics. They learn about various artists and styles, examining how they have applied techniques, materials and processes while building on their artistic language to respond to visual artworks. They explore visual art practices to express themes and ideas in artworks. They extend their art-making skills by trialling various materials and techniques in preparation for creating and presenting their own artworks.
